According to Ian Roberts, a professor of public health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, there is a clear link between the obesity epidemic sweeping the world and the rise of global warming. Mr. Roberts believes that fat people are the primary reason why the earth is in the sad shape it's in today and feels that the public should take action or resign themselves to the fact that we're doomed.
In the last few years, many so called experts have taken turns "educating" us about the environment and what's causing global warming. Skeptics claim that climate change is normal and that there's no such thing as global warming caused by humans. They claim that humans couldn't possibly effect the environment in any meaningful way and that the people who are hyping the global warming epidemic have a vested interest in "green schemes" such as carbon offsetting programs.
On the other side of the fence, people such as Al Gore have predicted disaster for planet Earth and have blamed everything from corporations to corrupt governments, claiming that they are profiting from global warming while the rest of us await grim death caused by floods and heat waves.
Ian Roberts's recent article debunks both camps while shedding some light on the real culprits who are causing global warming - fat people. Robert's startling revelations reveal who our real enemies are and shockingly, it's not the Russians.
Roberts's indicates that, "...obesity is most prevalent in the U.S... it is becoming clear that obese people are having a direct impact on the climate. One reason is that the the extra food that obese people eat - about 40 per cent more in terms of calories than their lean counterparts. Since food production accounts for over 20 per cent of greenhouse gas emissions - more than transport or industry - an obese population leaves a significantly heavier carbon footprint than a thin one."
The article points out several other ways of how fat people are directly destroying planet Earth. The findings are startling and grim. They're startling because we all thought fat people were jolly instead of sinister and conniving. The facts are grim because it seems there's not much we can do to stop them unless we declare war on fat people around the world.
The fat people are also more organized than we thought. Roberts points out that, "The American Obesity Association is dedicated to 'changing public policy and perceptions about obesity'." Who knew that a pro fat organization even existed? How did this group of huge people keep off our radar for so long?
Roberts doesn't appear to believe that we should declare war on fat people and remove them from our planet by force just yet. However, he is in favour of psychological warfare. "The social stigma attached to obesity is one of the few forces slowing the epidemic - even though obesity is not a personal failing but a problem of society.", says Roberts.
Perhaps the most effective way of combating obesity is to have governments around the world make commercials that denounce fat people, especially organizations who promote obesity and all things round. If this doesn't work we must take drastic measures.
It's interesting that Al "Mr. Know it all" Gore didn't mention the impact fat people are having on global warming in his documentary, An Inconvenient Truth. Could it be because Al Gore is fat? One must wonder whether Al Gore is affiliated with The American Obesity Association and if he's secretly plotting to destroy the Earth by diverting attention away from the real problem - fat people. Confuse and obfuscate is the modus operandi of many politicians.
While it's clear that fat people are the primary cause of global warming, it's evident that some fat people are more to blame than other fat people. Al Gore has deceived us for years. It goes to show that you can never trust a democrat, especially a fat one.

fat people
I was trying to figure out if this was a tongue in cheek thing or a serious post. If it's serious, the only person even more ignorant than the idiot that came up with this harebrained scheme is the one that is willing to promote it.
I just LOVE the sentence "Roberts doesn't appear to believe that we should declare war on fat people and remove them from our planet by force just yet." Are you kidding me??????? Remove by force? Uh huh. Wanna try it? See, there's more of us than there is of you so-called beautiful people. Didn't you see "Revenge of the Nerds"? You don't wanna go there with Revenge of the Fat People.
I have nieces that picked up this phrase from somewhere. It works here.
You lose!!!
Less hostile & more jolly
Hi Jaz,
There may be more of you fatties than there are of us normal sized people but that doesn't give you the right to be so aggressive & confrontational. This is one of the revelations in Ian Roberts's article. No, fat people are not generally jolly as we once thought. They are cunning, aggressive and, of course, hungry.
Instead of viewing us normal people as the enemy you should be striving to join us. Do you not understand that you are destroying the environment? I did not read one point that refutes Ian Roberts's facts in that hateful comment you posted.
You must take responsibility for the destruction of Earth and, more importantly, you must do your part to trim 20-50 pounds so that your footprint becomes less destructive on our planet.
I Agree
While I agree, it's not healthy for people to be over weight, the Earth's destructions is not alone caused by over weight people but all people in genrel... God's just getting tired of the ubelievers, the blasphemers, and so on and so forth...so you see... if you wanna go that way go destroyed two cities before because of sin, and flooded the world.... maybe we should finally get the hint.. that we can't expect to create anything with out God, nor can we finish anything with out God.... it began with God and it will end with God... I just hope he comes quickly.
I am not going to get into
I am not going to get into the whole god thing. I wouldn’t blame fat people for the destruction of our planet. First of all, I really don’t think that the planet is under threat here. The planet is perfectly fine, now, it was fine billions of years ago, it withstood planetary forces, volcanoes meteor showers you name it. Who are we to think that humans will destroy the planet? Probably same people who think that GOD is punishing the unfaithful with higher temperatures. The planet is just fine. It is the ecosystem in which we depend on for our survival humans are destroying....not the planet. Why are fat people responsible? Because they can feed off junk for cheap?? How many obese rich people do you know? Not that many I am sure about that. People who have the $ to feed off caviar and asparagus do not get obese. It is the poor people who live off coupons for junk. Those are the ones that destroy the planet? I doubt it. I understand the whole consumerist thesis, more large people more gas to move them around more food to produce etc. But are they to put the blame on? or the whole consumerist ideology. I have one more thing to say....If you think the planet is in trouble now, wait till People in China start discovering junk food.
It's about time
Fat people are way more dangerous than Al Qaeda or any other terrorist organization (Hamas, Hezbollah, BBC, etc).
Point 1. There are way more fat people.
Point 2. If they get you in their chubby arms, you stand no chance.
When fat people try and destroy you, there is nothing you can possibly do to escape their violent wrath. Except briskly walk away.
Very funny
Found this comment quite amusing.
This is one topic that is at its height in British news at the moment, every day you turn on the telly to see british children as young as 5 seriously over weight and it comes down to the parents feeding them rubbish and sitting them in front of the TV when they should be getting them outside.
Not Funny At All
This is not funny, it doesn't mean you can make fun on those fat guy just because you are not fat.
Fattys
I think they should all be put to sleep, (with a bazooka or something)
Good article.
It would be desirable
It would be desirable something to add, but except “thanks the author” anything on mind does not go, thanks for article.
Obesity is killing us
You are right, obesity is killing us. I read a report which said over 1.2 billion would be used for treatment of fat people over the next 5 years. I guess all they need is Everloss, I have been using their methods to lose weight and its really successful. I am building a Everloss review blog so people can get inspired by me.
